Boarding & Facilities

Silver Fiddle Ranch is on the edge of the El Dorado National Forest in the beautiful Sierra Mountains. We are close to USFS trails, lakes, rivers, skiing, fishing, and all outdoor sports and activities. At our ranch, we offer month-to-month boarding for a limited number of horses who are barefoot or have owners who are ready for the transition to a barefoot life for their horse. We also offer lay-up care, and overnight stabling in a stress-free, loving environment for both horse and owner.

Basic Boarding Services
($350/month; $25/night - stall boarding for clinic stays)

  • High quality grass hay for breakfast and dinner
  • Daily paddock and pasture cleaning
  • Clean water checked daily
  • Plain salt mineral blocks in all paddocks and pasture
  • Once a month psyllium
  • Daily supplements

Extra Services (call for prices)

  • Standing for vet $10
  • Barefoot trims $35 monthly for boarded horses (monthly trims are required)
  • Blanketing in winter/fly mask or sheet in summer – $2.00
Facilities
  • 3 - 24 X 50 paddocks with covers
  • 2 pastures with lots of room to roam in varied terrain (approximately 3 acres)
  • 5 - 12 X 24 pipe corrals with covers (we reserve these for new comers, clinics and over night stays)
  • Miles of groomed mountain trails and logging roads on and off the property
  • Groomed, all weather footing arena (120 X 60) and round pen (50 foot)
  • Tying and wash area
  • Community tack room and feed room
  • Shaded picnic areas
