Lessons and training at Silver Fiddle Ranch focus on helping horse owners learn about what their horse might be thinking rather than trying to make them do something. It's not just about riding, it's about communicating whenever we are around our horse. Understanding that every little thing we do around our horse is training him. Learning that your horse has a natural softness that you can encourage and use for good communication. Learning to communicate in a way that creates a willing partner of our horse is a life long endeavor and at Silver Fiddle Ranch, we want to help you make this a part of your life with your horse.

Lessons and training– $50/hour.

Providing lessons on basic horsemanship, balanced riding, and problem solving.

I do not take in horses for training, I work with the owner and their horse to ensure both are progressing at the same pace. I can come to your boarding facility or home to help you with your horse or you can trailer to Silver Fiddle Ranch. You can learn by leasing one of my horses and taking lessons with them - they are all great teachers!

Riding lessons are about you and your horse so I don't separate training from the lesson experience. I don't take horses in for training, but I do work with horse owners with their horses or mine. What I find so often is that people are looking for ways to understand what their horse is feeling about the whole human-horse connection. Once we get some of this communication going, what a difference it makes with riding and handling and just being happy together. My focus is on teaching you and your horse to be a functioning team. I can help you with horses who have problems trusting people or horses who are pushy and haven’t been taught their boundaries around people. I can help you learn to ride in balance which will greatly increase both you and your horses enjoyment of riding!

Lessons and training are available at Silver Fiddle Ranch or at your place. I will travel to El Dorado and Calaveras Counties and cover all of Amador County. Lessons and/or training are $50 an hour. Call for price outside Amador County.
